Anatacamite perfect triangular crystals, arranged on elongated paratacamite crystals can be seen with the naked eye. This combination gives the appearance of a small saw, with big teeth of intense green bottle color.

New sun-shaped crystals of dark green atacamite superimposed on a layer of tan halloysite. Other minor associated minerals, but not present in the photograph, are pseudomalachite and libethenite.
A new discovery of atacamite was found this year in the coastal area of Carrizal Bajo. Hundreds of perfectly terminated, translucent crystals appear throughout much of the sample.
