Fine sculptural sphalerite combination specimens are uncommon from the San Antonio Mine at Santa Eulalia. Typical calcite crystals can also be seen in the sample.
These pseudomorphs are a Mexican classic. The material is instantly recognizable, with the gentle yellow color stibiconite that has replaced the original stibnite crystal.
Very aesthetic cluster of transparent apophyllite crystals with a doubly-terminated bow-tie formation of orange-pink stilbite crystals. Very clean. No damage.
A large number of copper sulfides are present in this sample. Mainly it is composed of tennantite, but there are also crystals of chalcocite, bornite and massive chalcopyrite. Crystallized calcite and capillary asbestos, all on andesite matrix.
This was a new find by our friend Alexis Angulo, a mineral lover. Only a dozen samples reach high quality, and in them you can see hundreds of perfect doubly eminated crystals covering the sample.
