New sun-shaped crystals of dark green atacamite superimposed on a layer of tan halloysite. Other minor associated minerals, but not present in the photograph, are pseudomalachite and libethenite.

A new discovery of atacamite was found this year in the coastal area of ​​Carrizal Bajo. Hundreds of perfectly terminated, translucent crystals appear throughout much of the sample.
