A large museum piece that belonged to collector and friend Christian Dalannais. Impressively large, robust, and well-finished crystals are the highlight of the exhibit. A few small pale yellow sulfur crystals appear on top of the crystals.
Hundreds of small translucent orange-brown colored crystals covering both sides of the sample. This is one of the richest and aesthetic samples that I have in my possession of this mineral.
Combination of copper sulfide minerals in their transition phase, primarily digenite, chalcocite, and copper oxides. Other elements such as silver appear in XRF analysis.
Fine bow-tie dioptase crystals cover much of the sample. Gleaming chalcedony druse stands out for its brilliance, all over a thin layer of chrysocolla.
In a very specific place of the mine you can be found the beautiful combination of atacamite with spray crystals of dioptase. This is one of the best-large sample I have and is ideal for a showcase of copper minerals.
